RAD PAD

Trib Team members & other volunteers organize an annual event to get people out on the river, to appreciate it's beauty & help keep it clean by picking up trash.

August 2008 Grant Support: The Team supported several grant proposals from Talbot and Caroline Counties for the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays 2010 Trust Fund.

At the request of the Caroline County Commissioners, the Team prepared and submitted a list of recommendations for changes that would improve water quality in the Choptank River. Primary among these was a require denitrifying technology on all new septic systems and to work to retrofit all existing septic systems in the Critical Area.

Team members worked with Salisbury University to map tax ditches in the watershed.

The Team formed a partnership with the Delaware Choptank Tributary Team to work together and share information on watershed issues.

May 2007 Workshop: The Team partnered with the University of Maryland's Center for Agro-Ecology to sponsor a scientific workshop that focused on water quality and the implications of population growth in the watershed.
